Recreational Services

Helping our residents live better means engaging and involving them in everything we do. Our Homes provide social and recreational services seven days a week, including holidays. Our programs are designed to meet the physical, emotional, spiritual and intellectual needs of our residents. All activities are developed, organized and led by qualified staff and we offer both group and individualized services to meet the unique needs and circumstances of each resident.

Spiritual Services

Resident Council

The Resident Council is dedicated to ensuring that every resident within the Home receives the care, respect and dignity that they deserve. This is their Home and they have a voice.

Family Council

We are looking to re-establish our family council. The purpose of a Family Council is to improve the quality of life for residents and to give a voice in decisions affecting them.

Some objectives are:

  • Support for families
  • Education and information
  • Discussion and actions on concerns
  • Support activities for residents

Family and friends of Wikwemikong Nursing Home residents may become members of the Family Council. If anyone is interested in more information please contact Jamie Wassegiig at 705-859-3107.
